I was born with dark ash blonde hair–essentially, grey. I thought I’d regret if I got rid of the blonde but one day after studying J.Waterhouse’s paintings of mermaids I just up and decided to go red. And I couldn’t be happier–with my pale complexion and green eyes, most people assume I’m naturally this way. And I guess I sort-of am. While there’s nothing wrong with being blonde, sometimes deviation from the model is far more beautiful than conformity to it.

Hm.. I think no matter what people will be unsatisfied with how they look. I have strawberry blonde hair, freckles and pale skin. I hated having pale skin, people would often ask if I was sick because of it being so pale. Or I’d get awful sunburns on my face. I found when I dyed my hair dark brown once it was the most confident I’d ever felt!

My hair used to be shockingly blonde, then turned golden, and now it’s a tawny colour, like a mouse. Though it’s unfitting for my personality. My friend calls it ‘lioness brown’.

I wanted to be a ginger so bad growing up. Ultra pale, covered in freckles, the kinky hair – the works.

You look like a fairy tale, all that long hair- beautiful… And yes brunettes are underrated! I wouldn’t change my hair for the world, it’s as black as cats, deep dark night or a curse but lights up like fire in the sun, as red as magic…

Sometimes I wish my hair was blonde, i’m already blonde. It’s like wearing white, you see it so much faster if it starts to fade and get dirty..

I would simply look silly with blonde hair haha! I adore my dark hair, it compliments my chocolate eyes and skin :]
I guess we have always wished for something other than ourselves. That’s normal.
We just have to remember our natural born-with attributes are just as beautiful and unique.

This is such a beautiful comment, thank you. It does play such a big role in our image, I think if I were blonde I’d be a completely different person. Ribbons work wonders, I agree.
