Do you really think so? I do not think of optimism as childish or sadness as adult. I think there is a little bit of each in all of us. The difference is that I am no longer writing to advise, simply to express.
I am mostly an optimistic, proactive person, but I still know what it feels to be lonely, sad, wistful, to hurt. I value all of these emotions as it takes more than happiness to feel alive, and there is as much beauty in these empty feelings as the full ones. I hope that makes sense.
