Fire Heart and Winter’s Lullaby
July 10, 2009

They told me it was all blocked up, the fireplace, but they lied. I know because I can hear the north wind blowing at night, I know because when it storms tiny drops of rain hit the dusty bricks. I don’t mind though, I like the winter’s lullabies and I’m going to fill it with candles, my own little room with it’s fireheart.

your blog is so lovely and dreamy :)
Your blog is so beautiful and dreamy :)
=^- -^=
Aww, so cute.
It’s nice to find the enchantment in winter days.
That’s a very sweet picture.
Winter days mean finding magic indoors, because it is so cold and wet out there.
I always dreamed of having a room with a fireplace. You’re so lucky! You seem to genuinely live a fairytale life. I feel smiley when i read about it :)
Me too, that is why this is my dream house, it just needs a window seat. I think life is a fairy tale in itself.
hey fantastic .. marvellous and intimate writing :) i loved it ! Keep writing ! :)
Beautiful photo… I missed you and your blog.
Kisses
You write lovely prose. I am carried away to your world with no hesitation whatsoever. You’re a pretty talented writer. :)
Hope you can drop by my blog sometime soon. :)
I love this photo and I really missed your posts! I’m glad you’re back. ^_^
Nature sounds are truly lullabies..
I was starting to miss your blog,
The photo is beautiful, as always…
I was starting to miss your comments <3
I am in love with this post. Did you take the picture your self? it’s ridiculously cute!
xoxo,
Micaela
Hi Micaela, yes I took it myself with the self timer. I set it to 20 seconds, because it was quite hard to get in there.
Awww <3
Congratulations on having a fireplace in your new cottage! I adore them, and was fortunate enough to find one in our new home. :) It makes me excited for Fall and Winter this year… (I live in the US, so I’ll have to wait a few more months for mine.)
I feel very lucky too, only I can’t have a fire in mine, but I can fill it with candles which is what I plan to do.
I thought when I grow up I could no longer play with my magical imagination.
But there you are, I found your blog and it is inspiring…
Like you, I spent my childhood reading F.H. Burnett (which, at that time, was alien to me. English is not my mother tongue.) However, I prefer magic and be a kind observer; I prefer to stand on the boundary between reality and dreamy life=)
I have in the end started to construct a blog after fearing nobody would like what I write, but your blog stimulates the magical spirit that I long to share…
Keep writing and imagining, lost Princess!

This comment makes me sad and happy at the same time, I like to stand on that boundry as well. Keep writing your beautiful journal.
Your place sounds beautiful, a room with a fireplace, imagine that!
There’s something darkly enchanting to me about fireplaces, I can’t quite put my finger on it.
your blog is so cute!
I wish I had a fireplace in my room… but I don’t so the next best thing is a fire place in the next room!
Thank you for your wonderful stories and tales, they bring a little bit of magic to my day!
