Bright Eyes

Your people cannot rule the world, for I will not have it so. All the world will be your enemy, Prince with a Thousand Enemies, and whenever they catch you, they will kill you. But first they must catch you, digger, listener, runner, prince with the swift warning. Be cunning and full of tricks and your people shall never be destroyed. Watership Down

I miss my bunny. Her name was Taya.

Somehow I have never gotten around to reading Watership Down, but I think I really should. I miss my bunny too x
It makes me cry, but it is a very good book.
I miss my bunny too. His name was Kalle.
Thats a lovely name.
Me too her name was Nibbles and she was so very sweet…most days haha. Good times.
Taya could be quite cheeky sometimes as well.
I miss my bunny, Phoenix. She was such a dear!
And I’m terribly sorry about your bunny.
It was a long time ago, so its ok. Will you ever get another bunny?
Well that’s good that you’re not as sad anymore.
I may, or I may not. We live in the countryside, so I could. But there are Coyotes where we live, so the bunny might get eaten.
I adore Watership Down! I think it is one of my favorite books. I have never had a pet rabbit, but there used to be an almost tame wild one that lived in my backyard. It got so that he would hop over when he saw me come out with a treat for him! He was very old though and he’s not around anymore, but a sweet young bunny has been visiting recently.
Oh! And I love these photographs! I think I might like to be a photographer some day and looking at your blog is very inspiring.
Have a lovely day!

I think I would almost prefer that to a pet one! Rabbits are considered pests around here, and very afraid of humans.
Good luck in your ambition!
I’m so sorry. I’m terrified to think I’ll lose my bunny someday.
I hope your bunny is with you for a long time yet.
Another great book! I used to have pet rabbit, but then I accidentally let her out in the backyard and she disappeared. I was five at the time -__-;;
Oh dear! Well maybe she did well in the wild?
I am dreadfully sorry about your dear bunny. It may not mean anything to you, but I can relate to the loss. We had a bunny named Bun Bun for years, and he was such a dear. He used to torment the neighbor dogs when we let him out of his cage on warm afternoons by running back and forth about a foot away from the fence so that the dogs would chase him back and forth, but not be able to get at him. It was terribly funny.
I suppose the only advice I can give you is not to remember her with tears, or guilt of any kind, but with gladness and joy in your heart that you will surly see her again in another place; a place where you can be together forever. Remember all the good times, and the laughter that she brought to your heart, and the smiles, too. Remember her smiling, and take care never to forget her.
I am sorry about your Bun Bun as well. Its ok, it was a very long time ago, and I do remember her happily.
Sorry for your loss.
Thank you. Its ok, it was a long time ago, I just miss her still some days.
Own, this photos are so cute. I love bunnies…
Me too, I wish they were easier to keep indoors though.
That’s my favorite book, and the quote you gave is probably my favorite line from it. When I first read it, I had a bunny as well (His name was Lycaenadae), and I would read him parts of the story.
What a brilliant name, I’m sure he loved you reading to him.
I had a bunny named Dot when I was little. It’s been years since she was gone, but I still miss her.
I used to watch Watership Down ALOT as a child. It’s so sad. I don’t know how I was able to sit through it so much back then. I can’t bring myself to watch it anymore. It pulls too much at my heartstrings.
It always makes me cry, and the book is worse. I love the music from the film though.
Have you heard Hayley Westenra’s version of Bright Eyes? It’s beautiful!

these pictures are so darling.
xx
thank you sweetie xx
I love rabbits. :) I’ve never had one though. I once watched the cartoon adaptation of Watership Down when I was in junior school, and it greatly disturbed me. I didn’t like seeing the rabbits suffer so. I’m still reluctant to watch it today. By the way, you do beautiful photography – keep up the good work!

I had forgotten about Watership Down. Thank you for reminding me and thank you for this wonderful blog.
I miss my bunnies so much. There name were Prince and Hoppy and they were my best friends. Sometimes when I was lonely, they were my only friends :(
I miss my bunny too, he only died yesterday. His name was Ozzie, after the Wizard of Oz. He was only young and i miss him already, i will visit him where he rests at the bottom of the garden.
